Not sure if I ever mentioned this on here before, but I work as a matte painter. I've worked on mattes for kids shows, as well as on more 'sophisticated' mattes like this one. I think of all the subjects a matte painter faces, the abandoned/destroyed city is #1. They definitely are fun to work on!
I was gonna ask the same question as JerryCai. This looks like it's from Wall-E but you're in Toronto and Pixar is in Emeryville, California.

Haha, thanks guys. Funny you should mention Wall E. My art director basically said to make it look like that (characteristic of corporate interests in art). While this specific lighting and composition wasn't in that movie, I'm glad it captured that same desolate feel.
