Turns out, Tony Sly also had his own solo albums that were mostly acoustic based folk records. Like any good artist, he was able to keep his work simple, focused, and yet still existing in a world that was definitely HIS voice.
Well, Tony passed away last year (causes unknown to anyone but his personal friends), leaving behind a legacy of songwriting that any musician can only hope to aspire to. As a tip of the hat to him, I picked one of my favourite songs of his and recorded my own arrangement of it.
This is called 'Francis Stewart' and it was on what would become his final album release, entitled 'Sad Bear'.
Thanks for the songs, Tony.
